The 4 pieces below that share the same size were swim floats, found at the back of the "grandest" hotel in the town where I live at present. Deciding I wanted a fifth to complete the set, I took them to the hotel and asked to speak with the manager of the "health spa" in the hotel whether they had any spare. His reply was, "no they didn't have any but they were going to order new ones". Yet they had thrown four away!
Having made some busts from plaster and painting on them, I was given some mannequins. The smaller is my versions of some Jack Vettriano pieces.
The one of the planets was something I did when I read that astronomers apparently said "Pluto was no longer a planet." The orange depicts images of various other species that share this planet with us. None of these are available. |

These are tv's and computer monitors that have been thrown away, and more than likely those who threw them away went and bought new ones. Ah, the power of advertising, especially on television. And people say it has no effect on our "thinking"!
